The Mountaintop Media Intern will play an important creative role in visually documenting and promoting Mountaintop activities through photo and video content. This includes capturing content at events, editing and organizing assets, and contributing to the overall digital presence of Mountaintop.

This position is vital to the Office of Strategic Planning & Initiatives and is an excellent way to gain leadership and teamwork experience, as well as enhance your resume.

Responsibilities:

  • Photograph and/or film Mountaintop events and initiatives
  • Edit photo and video content for use across media platforms
  • Conduct video interviews about Mountaintop activities and experiences
  • Draft marketing materials and social media content
  • Collect and organize Mountaintop media archives, including historical and partner-provided assets
  • Attend a weekly staff meeting, and be available to capture content at on-site events on a regular basis

Qualifications:

  • Skilled in photography and video production
  • Proficient in editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut)
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, dependable and organized
  • Ability to communicate professionally with various audiences
  • Knowledge of new trends in photo and video creation and editing

Additional Requirements:

  • This position is open to those with work study awards ONLY
  • You MUST be taking at least one class at Mountaintop Campus to be considered for this role
  • A minimum commitment of 4-6 hours per week is expected
