BASIS Charter Schools hire Subject Experts, and we give them the freedom to teach! Our robust, world class curriculum provides unlimited teaching opportunities. All teachers hold a bachelor's degree or higher, and completed coursework in the subject they teach. Many have other experience in their field of study.
Teacher certification is not required. Each SET specializes in their own area of interest. We provide the "blueprint" or topics to cover for each course. Then, we let the experts teach with creativity and autonomy.
BASIS.ed trains SETs in the BASIS Charter School model, and teachers are mentored and supported at the school and network levels. SETs have opportunities to also lead student clubs, coach sports, propose electives, and advise Senior Research Projects.
